After the FIFA world cup, get ready for another football extravaganza but this time fight will be between the bots.

Problem Statement:
Each pool has to come up with four bots, at least two wireless (DTMF based). Each bot can be manually controlled and bots have to play as a team on the arena.

Arena:
The soccer field size would be 6 mt x 3.5 mt. The goal post will be placed outside the 6 mt mark.

Rules and Regulations:

  • The team which scores maximum goals in the match would be declared as winner of that match.
  • The total playing time between two teams would be of 15 minutes, divided into three intervals of 5 minutes each.
  • In case of tie, an extra time of 5 minutes would be given. Even if then the tie persists, the game would be decided with penalty shoot outs.
  • The break time would be 2 to 5 minutes.
  • The bot dimensions should not exceed 400 mm x 400 mm in length and breadth at any time during the play. There is no limitation on height.
  • The ball diameter would be 12 cm to 15 cm.
  • The ball holding mechanism of the bot should not get the ball more than 7 cm into the bot.
  • Any team lifting and carrying the ball, using adhesive techniques to hold the ball or any other unfair means will be disqualified.
  • Any part of the bot should not cross the goal line during complete match.
  • A team can have at most three substitute bot in case bot is damaged.
  • Voltage between any two points of the bot should not be more than 24 V.
  • Robo wars is also allowed simultaneously (i.e. any bot can fight with any other using any means).
  • Allowed:
    • Hitting OR Kicking OR Thrashing OR Flipping the other bot.
    • Completely demolish any other bot.
    • Anything that you can imagine!!!
  • NOT Allowed:
    • Use of liquid, spray or fire is not allowed.

Components:

  • Each team would be provided with following components at the cost of Rs 5000/-.
  • The teams can spend another Rs 3500/- for which appropriate bills need to be provided by the team for the extra components bought.

  • 3 Li-ion batteries 12V 2 Ah
  • 1 battery charger
  • 3 high torque (200 rpm, 30kgcm) motors
  • 1 servo motor (Stall Torque (4.8V): 5.5 kg/cm)
  • 6 dc motors plastic 3 V to 9 V (375 rpm @ 4.2 V)
  • 10 dc motors 12 V (300 rpm)
  • 3 L298 based motor drivers (complete-soldered pcb)
  • 4 wheels 9 cm diameter
  • 3 8870 DTMF decoder IC’s
