Rubik's Cube

Here comes Rubik's Cube Hobby Group with first of its events of this year.
Freshers, this is your first chance to show tour talent in Rubik's Cube Solving. We will be having a different category for Y10 batch.

Description:

Initially we will be conducting 2x2x2 and 3x3x3 prelims. Then the selected candidates will move to the finals.

The participants will be divided in two groups:

• Open for Y10 and all PG students excluding Y6
• Y6, Y7, Y8, Y9 junta

Any pool can consist of any number of participants.

Rules and Regulations:

• You can use any cube but if you are not having a good quality cube then we will be providing the Funskool cubes. We will be using Standard Stack Timers for judging.
• Prelims
  • 2x2x2
    • Open to all.
    • Best of 3 chances will be considered.
  • 3x3x3
    • For group consisting of Y10 and all PG, best of 2 chances will be taken
    • For group consisting of Y6, Y7, Y8, Y9 junta, average of the 3 out of 5 chances excluding the best and the worst one will be considered.
• Finals
  • 2x2x2
    • Average of the 3 out of 5 chances excluding the best and the worst one will be considered.
  • 3x3x3
    • Average of the 3 out of 5 chances excluding the best and the worst one will be considered.
• We are keeping the event simple but if you want to know WCA (World Cube Association) rules and regulations.

Schedule:

• For Y6, Y7, Y8, Y9 group, 3x3x3 prelims on Sepetember 24, 2010
• 2x2x2 prelims on Sepetember 24, 2010
• For Y10 and PG group, 3x3x3 prelims on Sepetember 25, 2010
• 2x2x2 and 3x3x3 Finals on Sepetember 26, 2010
