The oldest club of IITK is in its new avatar bringing along with it activities, workshops, contests and lots of prizes to be won . The club has been in the shadows lately but owing to the huge interest shown by the junta it was revived again. The once extremely active club is in good shape again to bring out the creative juices of the IITK junta.
This very familiar sound of camera clicking was first heard in campus back in late 80's with the commencement of photography club. All those fascinating and outstanding activities pursued by photography club popularized it in a short period soon after itscommencement. It was this hard work abd dedication which saw photography club as a glorious page in the history of IITK. Even though it couldn't continue the zeal with which it had started for long but the flames which were lit by beginners never ceased and after about a decade, year 2005 saw photography club in new face because of the fuel being added to those flames. These flames unleashed the true identity of photography club and today club is gaining altitude every moment. More and more dimensions are being added to the club like night photography, portrait photography, photography in 'ivory and ebony' and what not.
Well your perception towards life here at IITK will change the day you start handling camera.
Days will become brighter and the darkness of this night will excite you all the more. You will surely love this very new-self club.
The Photography club envisages a vision comprising an outbrust of every possible activity, that will help comminity here to pursue interest in photography. Proposals are abundant, ambitions are high. Pioneering photography, whether it is coloured black and white or digital, tops the list of our activities and plans.

A sunset, a rose on a winter morning, a captivating smile you'll never forget...? The club wishes to augment it's technical base as well as the commitment of it's members by calling eminent personalities from the different fields to share theri experiences and to take lectures on the finer aspects of this diverse field. Memories that speak of ages past and moments lost...
moments never to be encountered again. Given sufficient time and funds. The club will definitely grow a massive member base and provide the residents of the institute a great opportunity to live up the beautiful hobby. Can you still remember the wrinkles on a face you saw in a market... wrinkles that speak of a lifetime, deep eyes you would give a life to see again ? The club gives you a means to make these moments last.. forever.
AQUIRING SOPHISTICATED CAMERAS, LIGHTS, POWERFUL SPECIFIC LENSES, FILTERS AND HIGHLY ADVANCED EQUIPMENTS TO AROUSE INTEREST AND ENTHUSIASM IN THE STUDENT'S COMMUNITY, WILL BE A PRIORITY. FINALLY, ADDING NEW DIMENSIONS TO CLUB IS OUR MOTTO.
