The Students' Film Society is the shield that guards the realms of free and independent film criticism in a world where filmmakers are increasingly chasing box office success over artistic expression, by aiming to spread awareness and appreciation for independent filmmakers and artists, all the while hoping to instill in the campus junta a taste in movies driven by a thought process worthy of their intellect. Long story short, we love movies. And we hope to educate the campus junta to appreciate cinema as an artform (which it is), while trying not to come across as pretentious (which we are). We screen movies, to support indie filmmakers, and to provide the campus junta a good time. We also screen TV shows, matches, and pretty much anything you'd want to watch. And if a movie is too good, we discuss what makes it so good. We'll also have more fun events round the year. Adios!
