"Stand-up comedy is an art form, and it dies unless you expand it."
Who isn't familiar with the comics standing before the mad applauding crowd? If you aren't, try visiting a rally. But is mic the most necessary part? Or is it the stage? Or something else? At the Comedy Club of IIT Kanpur (popularly known as "Humour House"), we believe that comedy is not restricted to a particular format or topic or even the geographic boundary of countries. It is the art of cracking up people with a shared sense of humour in a variety of ways. Humour House provides the campus junta with a platform to present their funny self in front of a real audience. Apart from the standard open mics, we at Humour House explore different genres of comedy like improv comedy, roast, pun, satire, etc. We participate in various national level competitions like Aantaragni, Inter IIT Cultural Meet, etc. Several workshops are also conducted that focus on the basics of comic timing, beats, expressions, content writing, etc.

There is no prerequisite to join our club, the only thing we want is your "enthu".
