ABOUT US

Here at KOS, we believe in unparalleled dedication and hard work. We are one of the most active clubs of IIT Kanpur with the events well spread over the year. Our ambition is to be the most exciting, glamorous and breathtaking. Working on the principle: learn, teach and perform many beginners go on to become an integral part of the Dance Club and this art becomes an integral part of their life. We perform a variety of dance forms and we have been participating and winning in many inter-college festivals. Our club is a big one with over 100 members, our events are amongst the most awaited events and the audience turnout is always overwhelming.

RECENTS EVENTS

Bollywood Summer Workshop
conducted for 5 days teaching a few bollywood choreos.
Kathak Summer Workshop
conducted for 3 days teaching some basics of kathak and a performance on few songs
Hiphop Summer Workshop
conducted for 8 days teaching basics of different
hip hop styles and introducing them to
everyone.
Dance Extravaganza
This is the annual showcase event of the club where about 50 performance are performed in auditorium and any member of the campus is welcomed to learn and perform as many performances as they wish.

Fresher’s Night
It is the first event for the new batch to participate in. Any fresher interested in dance or has a will to learn gets to perform.
Orientation
Dance Club performs in the orientation for the upcoming batches to acknowledge them about the club and show them what the club does throughout the year through a video.
Flash Mob
Dance club participates in this event conducted by Antaragni on world’s environment day every year and performs in Z-Square mall for awareness about the event.
Dandiya Night
This event is conducted by the club so as to celebrate the festival of Navratri in which dance is a way to enjoy. People of campus come and meet and dance together celebrating this festival..
