MANTIS is the country's only organisation devoted solely to business management education through the application of simulation and other experiential techniques. MANTIS has developed the widest content in simulation games in India in terms of complexity, objectives, and range of scenarios for management and engineering students and managers. MANTIS games are available as competitions, and as learning programmes. IceBreaker, BRANDISH, HeadStart, MyFirm, and InGenius are some of MANTIS’ most popular brands. MANTIS is managed and led by Dr Vinod Dumblekar and other professionals in partnership, association and networks with other professionals, academics and researchers in India and abroad.

Dr Vinod Dumblekar is India’s most experienced authority in software-based simulation games. He pioneered the design, business plan, launch and implementation in India of such games in 1998. He is a management teacher, trainer, consultant and researcher of such games. He is the only Indian on the Steering Committee of the International Simulation and Gaming Association. He is the general Secretary of the Indian Simulation and Gaming Association. He has a postgraduate degree in business administration (MBA) and a doctorate (PhD) in management psychology. His current interests and business space are in training, development and research of simulations and games, and advisory services in non-formal learning.

MANTIS is devoted to non-formal learning including simulation games for management and other education. MANTIS conducts games in two forms: competitions and learning, and business schools and organisations. MANTIS has conducted games for large organisations (Tata and Aditya Birla groups, BHEL, Godrej & Boyce, Siemens, Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC, and Larsen & Toubro), B-Schools (Faculty of Management Studies and International Management Institute in Delhi, and Management Development Institute, Gurgaon), engineering institutes (Indian Institutes of Technology at Mumbai, Chennai, Kanpur, Delhi and Roorkee), National Institute of Technology (Suratkal, Tiruchirapalli, Surat and Kozhikode), and Universities (SAASTRA Thanjavur, BIT Mesra Ranchi, GITAM University Visakhapatnam, Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University Hyderabad, and Jaypee University of Information Technology Ghaziabad). MANTIS has also conducted games in Dubai and Austria.
