Every great business is sustained by a great leader. Great men, who never shy away from responsibility and take tough, heartbreaking decisions everyday. Not everyone has the grit and resolve to run a business. Battlefield gives you an opportunity to see if you have what it takes to be the best.

Battlefield is the good old case study competition. Cases selected for the competition are real life problems faced by our knowledge partners and give an insight into the tough business world. The competition is about analyzing a case, turning it into a successful business venture and predicting its future progress.


This year, Battlefield takes a huge leap ahead to become the biggest case study competition in the country, with multiple cases being launched in the main event, Frontline: Clash of the Titans. Is that it, you ask? Hell no. Come October, we will be launching a spate of weekly online case studies under Run Through. These cases will be incrementally augmented in quality. They will be chosen from different fields and sectors of the industry, and will be ideal practice for the final showdown. Run Through ’09 kicks off on 20th September 2008, with The Avaya Labs Case being launched for IIT Kanpur students. Further, the IIT Kanpur MBA batch of 2009, with mentoring from Prof. Rahul Varman, will organize Just In Case, a case study workshop on 21st September 2008. Battlefield ’09 is all set to distribute more than INR 2 lakh in prize money in addition to internship/placement opportunities in some of the country’s best consultancy firms. Enough incentive to give Battlefield ’09 a good shot? We think so…
