Pool Mascot
Description
Great mascot design is like a symphony of great ideas. You need to spring forth your imagination and ideas to create a memorable character for your POOL that endure in our hearts and minds.
Following approach could be used to forge your raw ideas into final characters :
-Discover your Ideas: All mascots start off with something in common; an idea. All you need is to transform your ideas into a tangible character which symbolizes your POOL.
-Sketch It: Work in a group so that the combined interpretation of all the ideas from the artists creates a totally unique concept sketch. Your mascot design comes to life in four different ways from four completely different perspectives if you work in a group. We love this approach because each artists has a different creative point of view and it means we can pitch four different mascot designs right off the bat!
-Vectorize: This is probably the most important part of the whole character design process. This is where you see your pencil sketch mascot concept really start to take a life of it’s own. The rough sketch is vectorized using tools of Photoshop or Illustrator; which is a geeky work meaning “digitized as points and lines”. Vectors are awesome to have with your mascot design because they allow you to scale your character as small or as large as you want with no loss in quality. So, vectorizing is the first step in colorizing your mascot.
-Colorize: Once the outlines (the vectors) are there, you will then proceed to rendering. Rendering is the act of adding color and shading to your mascot. You can either choose a Flat color Theme or gradient one for your Mascot.

You need to design a unique 2D vector mascot of your Pool using basic tools of Photoshop and Illustrator. Your mascot must be partially resemble a human and partially resemble an animal.

Video journalism is a form of journalism, where the journalist shoots, edit and often presents his or her own video material. Video Journalism in current generation is playing an important role.
Theme
“The public interest” is a very broad term, but in the context of journalism, it has been explicitly defined. Journalists strive to keep the public’s trust, because it is on the foundation of trust that information is collected and exchanged. Many of you may be interested in Journalism, so here we give you an opportunity to make a short video seeking opinion of campus community on a number of issues.

Hallin’s Spheres
Problem Statement
One of the spheres of “Hallin’s spheres” (a media coverage theory) is the sphere of legitimate controversy. A considerable number of “rational and informed” people hold conflicting opinions on these topics, they are the most important to cover and journalists tend to take a balanced and objective stand while covering these.
Time and again, issues that would fall in the sphere of legitimate controversy have sprung up in our campus, a recent example being the suspension of students for insensitive remarks during a hall day skit.
Pick up any such topic from the past 5 years of the institute history and write a comprehensive report on it. Also, contrary to journalistic tendency of taking a rigid objective approach in such matters, take a stand on the issue and justify it with reasoning substantiated with facts and figures.
